Thwarted ambition

This potato couldn't decide whether it wanted to be a duck, or a Henry Moore sculpture... but it ended up just a potato.



Still, so far it's avoided the pot. I can't make up my mind what manner of cooking would best honour its higher spuddity.

That's no duck, that's clearly Henry Moore's interpretation of the Loch Ness Monster. In a curiously maternal pose, too. Possibly you should lacquer it for posterity. If not, I've recently had happy times roasting potatoes in duck fat.

I want to photograph that curvacious potato...
