Right. Normally I can decipher Old English, even British English. I admit I'm stumped by the last part of the line between A Faithful Dog and 1885. U, V, doesn't matter: makes no sense to me.

I give up. What is it?

You think I know?!

Read it really quickly and imagine it's a typo for "in vain". Not that that makes sense, but pretend it does and maybe it'll stop driving you crazy. It's still driving me crazy.

Hold on. I've got it! Date of death: V Ian = 5 January. Phew.

And in double-checking the year (1885), look what I found!

It's *really* going to drive me bonkers not being able to read all this.

Thanks, the date makes sense. I should've remembered the I/J thing; I've watched my Indiana Jones.

And Vicipaedia! Such great find. I just recently stumbled across what I can only describe as Wikipedia From Bizarro World: [Link]. Enjoy.

Yes, me too. Uncyclopedia seems to be having one of those moments - this is the third link I've found to it in the past week or so. Magnificent.
