How does he do it?
So today I saw the teaser trailer for Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
Of course, I have seen Episodes I and II. And of course I know that they were mediocre (I) to abysmal (II). And I didn't even like the originals all that much. Kids' movies, y'know.
But there I was, watching the big ol' CGI volcanoes and clone armies and general menace, thinking, "Ooh! Cool! That'll be fun!"
There must be some kind of hypnotism going on.

I want to see it, but I've decided not to pay for it. I'll download it or something. Think of it as compensation for forking out for ep 1 and 2.
But... but... there's the big screen issue... it'll only look cool when it fills a wall. On a monitor, it will look like a computer game, but with worse dialogue. I'm hoping I can at least salvage some "whoa!" factor.
I'm with the nice lady. The only saving grace of being led by the wallet into another one of these overblown, under-edited travesties is the whroar in Dolby Surround Sound of a 10-foot light saber. Without that, might as well just admit you don't care how the two threads segue. Which we don't, really, but no-one's going to forfeit the 10-foot whroar for a little moral backbone.

Ouch.
